Multimode Fiber of 6 cores and 12 cores spread over a
distance of 5-6 kms has been used. All the departments are
connected to the control room campus network through this
optical fiber backbone.
The whole segmentation of the network has been done through
V-LANs on the Cisco 4507r central switch. Each department
has its own LAN.
