The placement of the MCA student is one of the prime objectives of the department. Earlier, as a faculty member and now as a Head of the Department, I am associated with placement activities of the department.
23. Have you contributed towards activation of alumni network?
The ex-students of the department has made an alumni and they are regularly organizing functions atleast once in a year where both ex-students and current students participate along with the faculty members of the department. This provide opportunity to the current students to interact with the old students, to know about the current trends in the market, what qualities they should inculculate to get placements etc.
As some of our ex-students are at senior positions in reputed MNCs, they are very helpful for the placement of the current students. Earlier as a faculty member and now as a Head of the Department, I have important role to play in this regard.

1. The department is study centre for IGNOU for computer courses. The faculty members of the department are counseling to the IGNOU students. I am one of the counselors for the IGNOU courses.
2. I served as observer, superintendent, for DOEACC examinations and member of the inspection team for the DOEACC centres regarding computer courses.

Being Placement coordinator of the department from the last seven years, contributed in the placement of the students. Till date the Department has excellent record with respect to the placement of the students. Every year more than 60% to 70% students are placed through campus recruitment process.
