Applications on the prescribed form are invited for one post of Deputy Registrar in the pay-scale of
Rs.12000-420-18300 so as to reach the undersigned by Registered post on or before 15.03.2006. |

| II. |
Essential Qualifications: |
| |
1. |
A Master's degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale with letter. |
| |
| |
2. |
Five years' of experience as Lecturer in a College or a University with experience in Educational Administration |
| |
|
OR |
| |
|
Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher
education. |
| |
|
OR |
| |
|
5 years' of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post. |
| |
| |
Relaxations: |
| |
| |
i) |
A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks at the Master's level for the SC/ST category. |
| |
| |
Ii) |
Minimum requirement of 55% of marks at Master's level shall not be insisted upon in respect of senior Teachers/Administrative Officers who are already serving in the University System. However, the minimum
requirement in their case shall be at least 50% marks at Master's level. |

| III. |
Prescribed application forms can be obtained from the Assistant Registrar (Forms and Stationery), University of Jammu, Jammu, personally on payment of Rs. 200/- OR by sending crossed Indian Postal
Orders or Bank Draft worth Rs.250/-, drawn in favour of the Registrar, University of Jammu, Jammu-
180006, encashable at Jammu Post Office/Bank. |

Application forms must be accompanied by attested copies of qualification certificates/ testimonials. |

If the number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large. the University may
shortlist the candidates on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed
or by conducting a written/screening test. The candidates finally approved by the Vice-Chancellor shall
only be invited for interview. The interview letters shall be sent 'Under Postal Cover", The University shall,
however, be not responsible for any postal
delay/lapse. |

Applications by Government Servants should be sent through the Administrative Authority
concerned. by the university Teachers/Employees through the
Registrars of their respective Universities and, by the
persons employed in the private Firms and Institutions through the Heads of the Firms/institutions concerned. Applications not routed through the respective channels are liable to be rejected. |

Applications received late or on plain paper or incomplete in any respect will not be entertained. |
| |
| 5. |
Candidates selected for appointment will be placed on probation for one or two years as per
recommendation of the Selection Committee. During the probationary period their services can be
terminated on one month's notice on either side or on payment of one month's salary. |

| 6. |
Candidates selected for appointment will have to produce the original documents relating to their age, qualifications, experience and fitness, etc. before joining the post to which they are appointed. |

| 7. |
Terms and conditions of appointment of candidates shall be governed by the provisions of the Kashmir
and Jammu Universities Act, 1969, and the Statutes and Regulations made
there under from time to time.
Where the University does not have its own service rules, those prescribed by the State Government for
its employees are mutatis mutandis, applicable to the University employees also. |

Candidates invited for interview will have to present themselves for interview at Jammu at their own cost. |

| 9. |
The University reserves the right not to fill up post, if circumstances so warrant. The total number of posts available shall
be determinable at the time of selection. |

| 10. |
Those who have already applied for the post of Dy. Registrar in response to Advertisement Notice Nos. Estab./20O4/5503-5600 dated 18.08.2004 and Estab/2005/7586-7685 dated 25.06.2005, need not apply afresh.
However, they can send their revised upto-date bio-data with regard to qualification and experience for consideration upto the last date prescribed
here in above. |
