University of Jammu hosts walk in interview opportunity for students

University of Jammu is offering young career seekers the opportunity to be industry ready and the chance to begin their career with a leading Indian ICT Company. Under the ambitious UDAAN programme, HCL Infosystems, India’s leading and premier ICT Company is offering opportunities for intensive training programs which will transform a student into an industry ready professional. A walk in interview has been organized on 18th October 2012, from 10.30 am onwards at the Executive Convention Hall, Business School, University of Jammu. The selection process will include a written test, group discussion and interview. The selected candidates will get a stipend during the training and at the end of the training, deserving candidates will get a chance to begin a successful career at HCL Infosystems. The eligibility criteria to appear in the walk in interview are – B.E/B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Computer Science/Information Technology with minimum 60% marks in X, XII and in Engineering - graduated in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Selected candidates will be trained on ICT Infrastructure Management/Digital Lifestyle Product – Maintenance.

Skill development in Jammu and Kashmir has been a challenge and continues to be. The UDAAN program is an unique partnership between NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) and the corporate sector. The program wants to bring about a change in the employment and skills space in J&K through an action oriented agenda. UDAAN is targeted at helping the youth of Jammu and Kashmir who are seeking to enhance and grow their careers. UDAAN aims to provide skills and consequently employment to 8000 youth from J&K per annum over a 5 year period in key high growth sectors. The programme is targeted at providing well-paying jobs.
