About SSC GD

The Staff Selection Commission is an organization under the Government of India responsible for recruiting staff for various posts in different ministries and departments of the government of India and subordinate offices. On 26 September 1977, the Subordinate Services Commission was renamed as Staff Selection Commission. The government of India redefined the functions of the Staff Selection Commission through the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances on 21 May 1999. The new constitution and functions of the Staff Selection Commission came into effect on 1 June 1999. Every year, the commission conducts the Combined Graduate Level Examination to recruit non-gazetted officers for various government jobs.

Important Instructions for SSC GD Exam 2023

Exam Centers:

  • The SSC GD Exam 2023 will be conducted only at designated exam centers.
